So what is Scribere?
Scribere was born out of a need to take notes whilst listening to sermon podcasts and vodcasts.
What can I do with Scribere?
With Scribere you can freely write notes and have them associated to the podcast episode that you are listening to. All of the association is handled by Scribere so there is no need to understand and remember a complex directory structure or filing scheme.
What are the main features of Scribere?
- Keep track of your podcast and vodcast feeds.
- Know when in a podcast you wrote the note.
- Ability to write notes in RTF format.
- Easy searching of notes, podcasts and vodcasts.
- Intuitive UI that allows you to write notes rather than be confused with what to do.
Why not just use pen and paper?
Pen and paper has a lovely tactile sensation that I'm often fond of, though if you use pen and paper seriously you will find that such things as remembering where you wrote a note and also cross referencing become logistical nightmares.
Who develops Scribere?
Scribere is developed by Reformed Software which is a software development startup from Melbourne Australia.
So I'm convinced, how do I get my hands on Scribere?
Currently Scribere is still under development. In the middle of 2008, an open Beta test will be run.
